Cool Tip To Find Untapped Niche Keywords
May 26, 2010 · Posted in Keyword Research
I got an e-mail yesterday from my buddy, Andrew Hansen, who created Firepow and PnP, with a great video about finding good, untapped niche keywords.
Watch his video below, it should help you find some good gold nugget keywords.
Enjoy…

Thanks. Really makes sense. I am going to use that today with my new articles.
Thanks Ali. It really is a neat way to find keywords that not a lot of people are going after. I have found good keywords this way in several of my niches that are pretty uncompetitive.
Great video, thanks for sharing it. Looks like Google is funneling people into their prefered keywords rather than for the real keywords that people are using. This is probably something to do with the money they can generate from add words. I’ve just tried it in one of my niches and it’s come up with some great keywords. I’ll be adding them to my campaign.
Thanks
Paul
Thanks Paul. Yeah, it’s odd that they do that but I’m sure they have their own twisted logic, as Google usually does. I also have found a number of good keywords this way not otherwise found in the Keyword tool. I have actually ranked pretty quickly on the 1st page for some of them (like in a day!) and am getting some good traffic from them.
Love the video and will use your entire strategy to post an article today…
I am wondering what firpow is? and does it work…
Hey Phill, Firepow is basically a blogging platform where a lot of things are automated. For example, you make a post optimized to a keyword, then it can ping and social bookmark it for you automatically. It can also autoblog, meaning it can scrape related content and post it to your blog automatically.
I think its a great concept, and I paid to use it for about 2-3 months but then cancelled. I cancelled my subscription because 1) in my opinion it is way too expensive for what you get ($107 a month or something like that). If it was priced at maybe $37 or $47 a month it might be more worth it for whats included. OR if they included way more in the platform it might be worth it. But at $107 a month it was not worth it. 2) I cancelled because there were so many frickin bugs in the software. I was in contact with tech support literally almost every day. Tech support was great – very responsive, quick and helpful. But too many bugs.
Andrew Hansen is great, and he usually overdelivers, but I was not impressed with Firepow. If you invest in anything, DO NOT invest in Firepow.
Valuable info. Lucky me I found your site by accident, I bookmarked it.

With genuine content — especially if you have a blog — you’ll be able to generate links with other web sites and blogs, as well. It’s somewhat of a give and take, in that if you link out to other sites, you’ll find sites linking back to you — and hopef…
